On the morning of her wedding, Krishna slipped into her dress and paused.
It fit, but not how it had when she first bought it. Her waist was smaller, her face sharper, and her whole reflection felt different.
“I felt like me, but I looked completely different at the same time.”
She had just spent a year quietly rebuilding her habits, her health, and her confidence.
“The most anti-ageing thing I did wasn’t skincare. It was losing the weight and finally looking after myself.”
This is how Krishna, a self-confessed Netflix-loving “couch potato” who lived out of a suitcase, dropped nearly 30kg and walked down the aisle feeling like a new woman.
The Engagement That Became A Wake-Up Call
On paper, Krishna’s life looked impressive. She worked in medical devices, travelling across the country to train clinicians. Her days were unpredictable: hotels, client dinners, flights, long drives, late nights.
Structure didn’t exist. Meals were expensive and unplanned. Wine was the norm. Evenings meant collapsing on the sofa and binge-watching TV.
“I didn’t really think about what was passing through my mouth. When I relaxed, I just wanted to be a couch potato.”
The pandemic made everything worse. Sedentary days, comfort food, and drinking with friends became routine. The weight crept up quietly.
Then, in July 2024, she got engaged. Happiness quickly turned into panic. Her clothes didn’t fit, the idea of dress shopping filled her with dread, and the thought of being photographed all day felt overwhelming.
“I realised I didn’t just want to look good for the wedding, I wanted to feel confident again.”
But she was completely lost about where to begin.
Lost In “Bride Diet” TikTok
Like many brides-to-be, she turned to Google and TikTok:
“Bride diet.”
“12-week shred.”
“Wedding weight loss.”
Instead of answers, she found confusion.
“There was so much information and none of it fit my life. I realised I needed support.”
That’s when she found RNT on Instagram.
What stopped her scrolling were the Before & Afters: real people who looked like her. Not fitness influencers, not models, normal women starting from the same place.
A Q&A explaining the year-long structure sealed it: “I’m not someone who forms habits quickly. A year made complete sense.”
She booked a consultation, asked every question, and, for the first time, felt hopeful.
From “Inherently Lazy” To 5am Training
Krishna admits she wasn’t naturally motivated.
So she and Coach Shwetha built systems instead of relying on willpower.
Together they mapped out solutions.
Hotels with gyms only. No fallback excuses.
5am workouts on non-travel days: done before the chaos began.
Sunday meal prep despite being able to expense meals.
Travel-proof food guides for restaurants, hotel buffets and client dinners.
“I never had to guess. I had a roadmap wherever I went.”
The hardest part was the initial reset phase, but once her personalised vegetarian plan arrived, everything clicked. Her energy lifted, the weight dropped, and the daily checklist in the RNT app kept her accountable.
“I loved ticking the boxes. Without that accountability, I know I would’ve made excuses.”
Becoming Something Deeper
As her wedding approached, she realised the transformation wasn’t just physical.
She became more selective with alcohol. She swapped weekend drinking for playing squash with her husband. She felt more proactive at work and more present with family.
Health markers improved dramatically.
“I used to get sick two or three times a year. This past year, I haven’t been ill once.”
A medical test she’d been monitored for over a decade came back completely clear.
Bride-Ready… And Beyond
By her wedding, she was around 56–57kg, almost 30kg down. The dress fit with room to spare.
“When we downloaded our wedding album, I could see it:happiness, confidence. It was the best day of my life.”
But she didn’t see the transformation as “finished.”
“I’ve finally become the person who doesn’t feel right if they don’t exercise. This is just how I live now.”
With her new confidence, she’s retraining in semi-permanent makeup and planning to move into self-employment.
“I never imagined I’d be someone who goes to the gym five times a week. But here I am. I’m a new woman.”
Krishna didn’t wait for life to calm down.
She changed her identity through action.
