How Pandian Reversed His Fatty Liver, Lost 20kg, and Became the Dad His Son Asked For

Pandian’s why was straightforward.

He started his journey because his health was failing quietly, and his family could see it.

Digestive issues had become normal, sleep was poor, energy was low, and confidence was fading.

Shopping trips often ended with him walking out empty-handed, frustrated by his reflection in the mirror.

“Whenever I saw myself in the mirror, I would get frustrated. There were many times I stepped out of the shopping area without buying anything.”

Over time, poor habits and constant digestive distress escalated into something more serious: fatty liver disease.

Eating out became a gamble and nights were disrupted by reflux.

And slowly, Pandian began withdrawing from social situations, from holidays, even from the simple joy of being present.

When Temporary Progress Isn’t Enough

Like many people, Pandian had moments where things improved.

During lockdown, home-cooked food and regular running helped him lose weight. He even completed long-distance runs and felt better than he had in years.

“That was the first time after my college days that I started feeling better.”

But without structure, the results didn’t last.

Accountability slipped. Old habits crept back in. The weight returned. So did the health issues.

“I didn’t know how to maintain what I had achieved.”

Pandian tried again and again.

Online coaching… Personal training… Short bursts of motivation followed by long periods of frustration.

Each attempt ended the same way: progress without permanence.

The Moment That Changed Everything

The turning point didn’t come from his son.

“My son told me he wanted me to become fit… he wanted to see me with a six-pack.”

That request landed differently.

Pandian didn’t know if he’d succeed but he knew he couldn’t ignore it.

“It came from my son. I just wanted to give it my best shot.”

Around the same time, he saw something else that challenged his assumptions… His wife Anila’s transformation through RNT Fitness.

“I saw the progress in my wife during the first two or three months. That’s when I thought: this is something I haven’t tried.”

“My GP suggested I redo all the tests. It turns out I have fully reversed the fatty liver.”

“That result boosted my confidence to the next level.”

At that point, the goal shifted… Pandian committed fully.

The Grind That Redefined His Limits

The final phase was the hardest.

“I felt like this was my absolute max.”

But with coaching support, subtle tweaks, and tighter accountability, he broke through.

“There wasn’t one single reason. It was a collection of small changes that added up.”

Early mornings replaced excuses. Planning replaced chaos.

“Anything that becomes part of your daily routine you can achieve.”

The Checkpoint Moment

The photoshoot was a moment he realised how much he had transformed.

“I couldn’t believe what I was seeing on the screen.”

For the first time, Pandian saw the outcome of years of effort finally aligned.

Post-checkpoint, the impact went far beyond his body.

“I took up trekking for the first time. I did the Three Peaks Challenge. I started cycling.”

Alcohol dropped away naturally. Energy returned. Confidence at work improved.

“With correct planning and execution, I can achieve anything.”

Even holidays have changed.

“That was the first time I felt proud to take my shirt off at the beach.”

Why This Journey Lasted

Pandian understands now why past attempts failed.

“You have to become a new person to maintain what you’ve achieved.”

Pandian keeps it simple.

“Have 100% trust in your coach. All you have to do is execute. Nobody can stop you from achieving the checkpoint once you’re on the right track.”

What This Was Really About

Pandian lost over 20kg.

But he also reversed fatty liver, restored his energy, rebuilt confidence, improved sleep…

He became present.

Now, he’s a healthier husband, a more confident leader and the dad his son believed he could be.
