You Can Feel Healthier, Stronger And Fitter On A Vegetarian Diet

I want to start by saying thank you to Akash for creating RNT and giving people like me the opportunity to transform, not only physically but mentally too. Thank you to your wonderful team for guiding me and helping me achieve my goals.

I remembered when I initially thought of joining RNT, I dreaded it, thinking that I will be put on strict diets and workouts. As I’m vegetarian, I thought I wouldn’t have many choices but since day 1, the meal plan was created according to my needs and the workouts were planned as per my health issues.

I have always been a foodie, before joining RNT, my relationship with food was different. I was an emotional eater. I’m still a foodie and eat everything but now I’m always mindful of what I’m eating by staying within my macros and I choose healthier options. Every now and then of course I do eat chocolate, pizza and chips too but everything in moderation.

Like everyone, lockdown and Covid affected my life too. I lost my job, lost family members and friends. During this period, I had many ups and downs but being active, doing cardio, and steps kept me sane. Now going out for walks or indoor walks has become ME time. Someone who hardly did 4000 steps, hitting 11000-13000 steps is normal now. I hardly drank even one litre of water, now I can easily drink 3 to 4 litres of water in a day. In fact I feel very dehydrated when I consume less than 3ltrs.

I have learnt a lot about myself, my relationship with food and my emotions. Journaling my thoughts and emotions helped me identify the root cause. I have suffered from depression in the past and RNT has helped me fight my inner demons and I use the physical as a vehicle to turn my pain into my strength. All the baby steps I have taken in the past few months have resulted in what I am today.

Overall I have lost about 18kg since last May & through RNT I have lost 13kg, something that I never dreamed of achieving. It seemed impossible even due to health issues, now it’s a reality.

On my birthday, I had my planned meal and a small slice of cake. Before I would have eaten a big piece of cake, drank and ate lots of food. RNT has changed my thinking process and has helped me, not only in losing weight but also in my personal and professional life by using the MANTRA of staying consistent in everything I do to achieve my goals.

I am a healthier version of myself. I don’t only look better but feel better too.

I’m looking forward to my journey ahead. There is still lots of learning to do and experience to go through. Challenges & hurdles are on the way but I am ready for it. I can’t wait to see Maya version 2.0 :)
