The Wake-Up Call: From Sidelines to Centre Stage
Caron-Lee had always been petite.
But after two C-sections, multiple moves as a military family, and the chaos of the COVID-19 years, the toll on her body and mind began to mount. Then in 2021, everything changed.
During a routine day at work, she stood up from a meeting and heard a pop in her knee.
The diagnosis was a torn ACL, plus damage to her lateral and medial meniscus. Surgery followed in September 2022, but it was the wake-up call she didn’t know she needed.
Until then, Caron-Lee hadn’t viewed herself as overweight.
But the injury and the recovery process exposed how much her overall health had slipped.
Motherhood, Fatigue and a Desire for More
Before her injury, her young sons would beg her to join them for a game of soccer. But she couldn’t last five minutes without feeling breathless. It was heartbreaking.
“I felt like I was always on the sidelines, but I wanted to be in the game with my boys and my husband.”
Caron-Lee knew she was getting older, and she wanted her body to keep up with the life she wanted to live.
She wanted to be a living example of health and longevity for her children.
While recovering from surgery, she witnessed her neighbour undergo an inspiring transformation with RNT.
Four months later, Caron-Lee joined for herself. She decided it was time to stop waiting and start changing.
The Lifestyle Habits That Needed a Reboot
Before RNT, her biggest struggles were surprisingly common:
- Drinking enough water
- Daily movement
- Eating out of obligation rather than hunger (“cleaning the plate”)
- These seemingly small habits added up over time, leading to weight gain, fatigue, and disconnection from her body.
Building a New Normal: One Habit at a Time
Joining RNT was an eye-opener. What began as a challenge quickly turned into a lifestyle.
“Life becomes a ‘do as I do’ because it works, every part of the journey has to be intentional.”
She embraced the structure, leaned on the community, and committed to daily habits with consistency.
There were obstacles, but she trusted the process and drew strength from others who had gone before her.
The Physical as the Vehicle for Total Life Change
The transformation wasn’t just about her weight or physique. It was about energy, confidence, and leading by example.
She went from being breathless on the sidelines to a mother fully engaged in life with her children.
Today, not only has Caron-Lee transformed, but her husband has joined the journey too.
Now, together, they live and breathe the lifestyle they once found daunting. And they invite anyone ready to take their health seriously to join them.
For Caron-Lee, transformation was about building a life where she could show up fully as a wife, a mother, and most importantly, for herself.
