    After noticing the popularity of the case studies released in 2017, we made a conscious effort to produce more of these in 2018. Yet again, they featured heavily in the top ten, and a quick analysis showed 6 of the most popular articles this year were case studies. What was also interesting was just how popular the long armed & long-legged articles were this year! 

    Here are the top ten (all titles are hyperlinked):

    1. How Anand Went From Skinny Fat to Shredded at 43 Years Young

    This was the first article of 2018, and given its popularity upon release, I’m not surprised that it made number one here. Anand went through an incredible transformation here, and went from ‘skinny fat to shredded’ at 43 years young while holding down a busy career as a dentist, and looking after his two children. 

    2. The Ultimate Guide To Reverse Dieting and Avoiding Fat Regain

    I like to call reverse dieting ‘phase two’ of the RNT journey. It’s the time you spend just after dieting to consolidate your gains, bring your calories back up to maintenance, and prevent any unwanted rebound that many people fall into the trap of doing. There’s no point in dieting hard only to put it all back on again, and this article highlighted some of the strategies we like to use to avoid this.

    3. 5 Arm Training Tips for Long-Armed Lifters

    Leverages make up a big part of how you approach your training to maximise your efforts. If you’ve got long arms, just focusing on progressing the compound lifts might leave you spinning your wheels. There are different approaches that you need to consider if you’re long limbed, and the popularity of this article highlights just how effective the strategies discussed here can be.

    4. 5 Leg Training Tips for Long-Legged Lifters

    Similarly, if you’ve got long legs, you might need to take a different approach to the ‘squat, squat, squat’ mentality many trainees fall into the trap of making. I’ve made my best gains since I stopped free squatting. While it may seem contrary to popular practice, it highlights the importance of focusing on progressing exercises that work with your body type.

    5. How Shyam Went From Chubby City Worker to Photoshoot Lean

    This was the most popular article in 2017, and it continued to make an impact in 2018. If you’d like to read a step-by-step case study on how to go from out of shape to lean while working a Finance job in the city, check this out.

    6. How Arwinder Lost 61 Pounds in 40 Weeks as a Working Vegetarian Mother of 3 in Her 40s

    I have a feeling that if this was released even a month earlier, it could have gone straight to the top. We only published this a week before Christmas, so the fact it’s leapfrogged so many other articles in the space of two weeks should give you an idea of just how incredible Arwinder’s life-changing transformation was! This is a must read.

    7. How Biraj Got Into Shape Of His Life Before the Big 4-0

    If you want to read a step-by-step case study on how to go from over 25% body fat right down to photoshoot lean, while on the cusp of turning 40, you’ll enjoy this one. A big transformation!

    8. Floor Press for Bigger Chest & Arms

    With how much I love this exercise, I was happy to see it make the cut here. I truly believe it to be one of the most underrated pressing exercises, and for anyone with shoulder issues or long limbs, it can be a game changer for upper body development.

    9. How Rishi Got Shredded In 13 Weeks

    Another one of the most popular transformations in 2018. Rishi showed everyone here the benefits of putting in a lot of work upfront during length muscle building phases. A lot of people look at this and forget how much muscle Rishi built prior to dieting, which is why when he decided to flip the switch, he got into such incredible condition in just 13 weeks. This only happens with a solid foundation, and is evidence as to why you should never skimp on this phase.

    10. How Kashmira Finally Broke the Diet Cycle to Drop 15kg and Get Into The Shape Of Her Life

    This is a great story of how Kashmira broke the yo-yo cycle, got into amazing shape, but also juggled her busy social and work life. A busy lifestyle is something which often acts as a deterrent, but at RNT we specialise in helping regular people with busy lives completely transform, and this is an example in how we do it.
